Haumana (Students) are required to wear comfortable outfits, bike shorts are allowed in class, purple halau pa'u skirts are required for haumanas that have taken hula for a year. T-shirt or sleeveless for warm days but no revealing tops. Hair pulled back - away from the face, little or no make up and bare foot; socks are allowed during cold days. Students are required to wear halau t-shirts at rehearsals.
Class policy: Haumana shall be on time for class and regular attendance is necessary to insure progress with the class. If arriving late, advise your instructor at least two hours advance notice. Class is held to learn not to practice. Practice "at home" is required for all haumana. No visitors are allowed during class, it disturbs the students.
Craft classes held on the 4th class of each month.
If you choose to participate in our hula shows, you will have the opportunity to showcase your hard work to your friends, family, and others as an audience. You will perform as a group with other Hula dancers.
