We can help by giving you an educational and entertaining show!
Due to the raising cost of gasoline, we are limiting our shows to Fairfax area.
Halau Ke Anueneu Punahele has been performing since 1985 in Washington D.C. Metropolitan area. We have duo or group performers. We have performed for various occasions (see listing below) We perform dances from Hawaii, New Zealand, Tahiti and Samoa. King David Kalakaua said, "Hula is the language of the heart, and therefore the heartbeat of the Hawaiian people. The Hula served, and still serves, the same purposes as an oral traditional narration, both sacred and source of historical "story telling". There are ancient hula, which tell of the creation of the world, battles, kings, queens and other historical events. There are hula which tell stories sad, happy, comical, love
. There are hula which tell about heroes, chiefs, and chiefesses. To watch a hula is akin to reading a brief synopses about Hawaii.
